Fall Asleep on Schedule

Fall Asleep on Schedule

Sometimes getting to sleep at a decent hour is a struggle. But did you know that hot “tubs” may be better than hot “milk to help you nod off?”

Early studies, including this report from Angie’s List, suggest that a portable spa’s ability to reduce stress will help you relax enough to make falling asleep much easier.

You Won’t Need the Warm Milk

Experts say that soaking in your hot tub for 15-20 minutes — an hour or two before bed— is ideal for better sleep.

It is advisable to set your hot tub temperature no higher than 104 degrees (F). In addition, at Best Hot Tubs we encourage our clients to drink lots of water before, during and after soaking. This is because, as the spa water raises your body temperature, you perspire and need to replace body fluids.

We also suggest that if you plan on staying longer than 15-20 minutes in the hot tub, reduce the thermostat to between 98 and 104 (F). The water will still reduce tension, making relaxing in the hot tub a more enjoyable alternative to hot milk.

As early studies suggest, using your spa will help you slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and simply feel more at peace and relaxed — improving your overall well being.

How Does a Hot Tub Relax You?

A Calm Mind Is Without Stress

A Calm Mind Is Without Stress

Sometimes it can be a challenge to turn off the thoughts racing about in our minds. This is what causes stress. And for most of us, we don’t want the answer to all this to be drugging ourselves into relaxation and sleep.

It’s becoming more and more clear that warm water spa benefits (hydrotherapy) that we enjoy at health clubs, in our own bathtubs, and especially in outdoor and indoor spas with built-in massage jets is an ideal way to relaxing the mind.

“Frankly, for a truly health-giving and stress-relieving experience, the key is having a good variety of different pulsating jets available in your spa to meet the needs of the moment,” says Bill Renter, owner of Best Hot Tubs. “All the spas we sell provide great massages.”
