Standard hot tub delivery costs are included in all Best Hot Tubs spa packages. However, on occasion, when deliveries are challenging, there can be additional costs, depending on what’s required.
For example, the terrain in the Catskills served by our Windham, NY, showroom, as well as the challenges our Long Island staff encounter when delivering hot tubs to NY City high-rise dwellers, for example, can result in additional costs, depending on what’s required.

Often, the issue is the hot tub is to be installed on a raised deck, like this recent delivery in Windham, NY (photo left).
“We find that when the location/destination of a hot tub is more than three steps up from the ground,” says our own Bill Renter “we need to use either a crane, or like in this case a Lull — or high-reach forklift vehicle.”
In cities, Best Hot Tubs often needs a crane; however the Lull is much less expensive and better suited to the needs of Catskills properties. Cranes are often positioned in a driveway or a street where its lift reaches over the house to position the spa. But when we have access to the backyard, like in the Catskills, we choose a Lull.
As you will see in our original blog below, the issues on Long Island can be quite different from the city and Catskills. Long Island properties are more compact and often it’s a matter of being able to get the hot tub through very narrow spaces, while still moving it on the ground. Our special delivery dolly and cart make even the largest spa an easy delivery for us even in very tight spots. If nothing more is required, such a delivery, while specialized, does not cost extra.

Pretty much every delivery is a story in itself, but some are certainly more challenging than others. For one thing, the property where a hot tub is being delivered may be ideal for placement of the spa, but access to it is a problem. Other times, the installation location is quite unusual, like a high rise in the heart of the City.
Other delivery issues can be the size of the hot tub a client has purchased. Some portable spas are pretty large and when yard access is limited, that just makes it all the more interesting a challenge.
But at Best Hot Tubs — where there’s a will there’s a way. And we have been safely and successfully delivering hot tubs for many years, sometimes in the most challenging of locales.
The hot tubs pictured in this blog today all arrived safe and sound. Not shown are hot tubs we have had to ferry across to Fire Island or Connecticut, etc. But what we are highlighting does give a good idea of how determined we are to ensure everyone who wants a hot tub can have one.
