Rate the Room on Twitter

Have you ever wanted to create a nice backdrop for your home space while Zooming or Skyping? Truth be told, the majority of us might give it a quick thought, but we’re not likely competing for a perfect score from Twitter’s “Room Rater.”  (left)

Fact is, we’re just trying to stay sane while working and living in the same place, 24-7. But, if you’re inclined, there is a way to jazz things up for a good Room Rater look — and help your sanity at the same time.

“I imagine many might think a hot tub in the office is only for fun types,” says Best Hot Tubs’ Bill Renter. “But it doesn’t hurt to look at how the big guys do it. Consider Facebook. Some of their team wanted a hot tub in their Seattle office as an informal conference area.

“So even though the landlord wouldn’t let them fill it with water, they still brought it in,” adds Bill. “There’s something comforting about being inside a hot tub — snuggling into its seats — even without water, apparently. Spas are perfectly designed for easy conversation or just relaxing.”

And, then, there’s Shaun ‘Shonduras’ McBride. Take a look at his home work space.

Famous on Snapchat, Shonduras presently leads a popular Youtube channel with over 1 million subscribers. He has recently purchased  an Esports team and a company called Spacestation Gaming. Fun work, if you can get it.

“Not every home can accommodate a filled indoor hot tub,” says Bill Renter. “But most can. And we’re pretty sure if you want to get a good score — a perfect score — on Twitter’s Rate the Room, a hot tub as your office space will score higher than cut flowers.”

As we mentioned earlier, Facebook let Business Insider document them adding a hot tub to their Seattle Office. The outside of the spa was decorated by artist Jeff Jacobson. Pictured in the hot tub is Philip Su, a Facebook engineer. He put up a sign inside the spa naming the hot tub conference room, “Bubble Bobble.”

And, if you want your hot tub outside?

As you can see from these Best Hot Tubs’ Catskills’ clients, even family meetings go better when in a hot tub — even without water. And their outdoor Room Rater score must be very high!

Whether it’s indoors out outdoors, there’s one thing a hot tub will definitely provide those working from home: tranquility. Now, this is a coffee break made in heaven.
