While Best Hot Tubs is no longer in the landscaping business, our roots (pun intended) give us special insight into what can be done to create a wonderful hot tub landscaped experience.
As an example, we’re sharing one of Bill’s projects from when he owned the landscaping firm. It highlights how a hot tub can be installed amid a scenic landscape to create an idyllic backyard refuge.
Project Showcase, Long Island, NY
As part of a full backyard makeover, these clients wanted a Bullfrog Spa set in an attractive setting — in a hot tub haven, or idyllic backyard refuge. To do this, Bill’s team sunk the hot tub halfway into the ground, and surrounded it with boulders and flowering plantings for a strong visual impact.
A very special part of this installation was the addition of a water feature. It consists of a “pondless” waterfall and stream, strategically placed so as to be viewed from both the main kitchen window as well as the hot tub.
One reason the clients chose a Bullfrog Spa for their hydro-therapeutic retreat was for its interchangeable massage jets/seats (JetPaks) that are as comfortable as they are soothing. Plus, setting the hot tub in between two levels of their beautiful new Techo-Bloc patio, we were able to position it near their back door, ensuring they can take advantage of its healthful waters year-round.
Custom Hot Tub Installation:
Installing their new Bullfrog Spa with a “set in garden” look also included a serene man-made stream with waterfalls that flow into a Aquascape Inc. “pondless” reservoir.
Bullfrog Spas JetPaks:
Because they have a Bullfrog Spa, the clients can choose which massage jet they want at any given moment. The JetPaks snap in and out in seconds to change the pressure points and massage different areas.
Spa Cover with Cover Lifter:
Spa Cover with Cover Lifter: Best Hot Tubs spa packages include a spa cover with a cover lifter. The lifter attachment makes the cover extremely easy to open and close. This means that hot tubbers are more likely to use their cover and protect their water from debris, particularly as the seasons change.
Pondless Stream with Waterfalls:
When installing a man-made stream with waterfalls, some of our clients — especially those with very young children or small pets — prefer it to be “pondless.” Collecting the water is an Aquascape RainXchange reservoir leaving the water to seemingly disappear into the gravel instead of a pond. Totally below ground, this reservoir acts as a ‘green’ maintenance-free source for the water feature.
