Best Hot Tubs’ clients are well aware of the fun and relaxation benefits of spas. But recent scientific studies are showing that there are also remarkable health benefits, actual rejuvenation, associated with a spa’s warm water hydrotherapy.
For example, these studies say that spending time in a hot tub can lower blood pressure.
For while participating subjects in studies experienced decreased blood pressure when immersed in water of all temperatures, the effect of lowered blood pressure was shown to last much longer for those who soaked in a hot tub — that is, in warm water immersion.
It’s also fairly widely reported that hot tubs improve heart and circulatory health.
Studies show that water immersion helps the circulatory system to operate more efficiently. This effect can be beneficial to all people, and is especially helpful to individuals who experience decreased circulation due to diabetes and other ailments.
Hot tubs also improve joint health, say experts.
Spending time in a hot tub can decrease pain and help improve flexibility by decreasing the effects of gravity, increasing blood flow, and by lessening the pull of tight muscles on sore joints.
No kidding. While warm water immersion and hot tubs are not substitutes for a healthy regime, taking a spa soak — or hydrotherapy — does support such healthy habits.
This is partly because scientific studies make clear that the sense of well-being one gets from hydrotherapy contributes to not needing as much to eat because of feeling more content.
Plus, because the hydrotherapy improves anyone’s cardiovascular performance, we find exercising easier to do. More on that with our first photo below.
So….to wrap up….
