Americans are good shoppers. We’re always looking for the best deal. We frequently check things out online and walk floors, the length of football fields, at big box stores.
But when it comes to large purchases such as a hot tub with so many moving and sometimes expensive parts, should getting the cheapest price for the hot tub be the only consideration?
“When people come to me about the great find they’ve spotted online, etc., I encourage them to consider this: If something goes wrong, who is going to fix it?” says Bill Renter, owner of Best Hot Tubs.
“So many of these ‘great’ deals are for hot tubs made in China, for example, so you can’t count on getting a well-made product. Even spas made in the U.S., if purchased at a big box store, you won’t get any help if problems arise.”
That was the case for a recent Best Hot Tubs’ hot tub service client. And, frankly, he tells his story best. The following is from a review he put up on our Windham-Best Hot Tubs Facebook page this past week.
“I purchased a spa from a big box store and it came with a manufacturer defect that caused a leak. After multiple calls to [the manufacturer] CalSpa, they wanted me to pay “travel fees” to an authorized repair person that lived 40 miles away, to make the repair.
I called Bill from Best Hot Tubs and he made the repair and took care of the bill directly with CalSpa. There was no blaming that company or complaints about anything. He came when he said he would and took care of everything!!!
I buy my chemicals and all of my spa necessities from Best Hot Tubs. I also love the @ease system they sold me. Next spa I purchase will be through them and not a big box store.”
“We’re glad to have made a convert of Eric for any future hot tub purchases,” says Bill. “One of the reasons I went into this business was because I discovered a truly well-made product.
“The Bullfrog Spas that we specialize in are the best hot tubs in the world. Their models are completely made in the U.S. They are not available online — only through reputable dealers like Best Hot Tubs.”
Bill reminds us that a hot tub can cost as much as some cars. “You want to be sure it’s something you will love, that it’s the perfect model for your own tastes and needs. And that it won’t cost too much to operate and maintain.
“At our three showrooms [Westbury, Farmingdale, Windham, NY], Best Hot Tubs staff know our local landscape, codes, hot tub operational costs, etc. We’re also available should anything go wrong,” says Bill.
Eric Rodabaugh happens to live in the vicinity of one of our showrooms: Greene County, NY. We also have showrooms that serve NY’s Nassau, Suffolk counties as well as New York City and her environs. Although our certified hot tub technicians can repair most spa models, we specialize in Bullfrog Spas. Below are a few examples of happy Best Hot Tubs customers:
